LG 27GP950

  • Refresh Rate: 144 Hz
  • Screen Size: 27 Inches
  • Hardware Interface: HDMI
  • Resolution: 3840×2160
  • Pixel Type: IPS
  • Variable Refresh Rate: FreeSync

LG 27GP950 is one of the best monitors for personal use and gaming purposes.

The LG 27GP950-B is a top-of-the-line, high-performance monitor for gamers. With an amazing 160 Hz refresh rate and support for HDMI 2.1, this 4k display will bring you into your favourite games like never before!

The resolution of this monitor is 3840×2160, which is the best you can get on a 27″ screen so far!

However, it has obvious shortcomings. Although IPS panels are better than TN ones in terms of colors and viewing angles, they also have low response times so ghosting might be noticeable while playing games.

Response time compensation technology like ULMB cannot be used because of the fact that this monitor does not support NVIDIA G-Sync.

LG 27GP950 has a maximum refresh rate of 160 Hz, which means that it can display up to 160 frames per second.

Competing 27″ IPS-type panels are either limited to 120 Hz maximum, or their response times are too slow to reach that high.

LG 27GP950 is an amazing monitor for gaming, but it has some disadvantages you should be aware of. First of all, this is not a G-Sync monitor. You can use FreeSync, but that will only work over HDMI, not DisplayPort.

So if you have an NVIDIA graphics card, you won’t be able to utilise advanced features like FreeSync without an active adapter. Other limitations are related to refreshing rate support.

This monitor can achieve 160 Hz maximum – great for fast-paced games where reaction times are crucial, but it is only possible over HDMI, not DisplayPort.

  • Built for gamers
  • Grey uniformity is outstanding
  • SDR colour is excellent
  • Brightness is quite impressive

  • Reflection handling is quite disappointing
  • Contrast is very low

  • Curved: No
  • Curve Radius :No

The 2021 LG Ultra Gear 27GP950 has a very similar style to the other 2020 models.

The chevron-shaped stand is quite large but can still fit into most spaces without taking up too much room, and it supports this monitor well enough when you’re using it for gaming or any other activity where weight doesn’t matter as much!

There’s also biassed lighting on the back which may sync with videos played through your PC – perfect if colourful lights are what you want instead of pure white ones. (or vice versa)

  • Width: 16.7″ (42.5 cm)
  • Depth: 11.5″ (29.3 cm)

The monitor stand is wide but doesn’t take up too much room, so you can still place other things in front of the screen.

The maximum height extension supports well and wobbles just a bit less than at its lowest setting – which we like!

  • Height Adjustment: 4.3″ (11.0 cm)
  • Switch Portrait/Landscape: Yes, Clockwise
  • Swivel Range: No swivel
  • Tilt Range: -15° to 5°

The LG 27GP950 is not the best TV for ergonomics. It has a decent height adjustment and an okay tilt range, so you won’t have any trouble placing it in your ideal viewing position but there are some limits on swivelling or rotating toward portrait mode – just one direction at a time!

  • Wall Mount: VESA Display HDR 600

The LG 27gp950 has a ring of RGB bias-lighting, which they call Sphere Lighting 2.0 and you can sync it with your audio or video from PC!

Do you also have the option to customise this through their software (or physical wheel) on the bottom of the monitor?

The back of this TV has a hook for cable management, but we couldn’t hear it in our lab unless you’re right next to the device.

It’s also possible that someone sitting farther away from their own living room television would not be able to either!

  • Borders: 0.2″ (0.5 cm)

The thin borders on this screen make it an excellent choice for a multi monitor setup.

  • Thickness (with stand): 8.9″ (22.5 cm)
  • Thickness (without stand): 2.2″ (5.5 cm)

Thin bezels make it perfect for a multi-monitor setup, but LG 27GP950 is also great for any other usage scenario.

It has good viewing angles and an outstanding gray uniformity which helps in displaying clear images with few severe dark spots or bright areas.

Build Quality

The LG 27GP950 is a budget monitor with the good build quality. It’s mostly plastic, but it doesn’t have any concerning flex or wiggle room on the backside of this screen!

The stand is stable enough for everyday use as well–you can even adjust its height extension so that you’re not sitting too low while gaming without worrying about Queen beds being at eye level anymore.

The fan in the back panel is designed to help keep you cool and extracts minimal noise, so it’s not really noticeable unless standing right next to this unit or very quiet rooms.

gamers should take a look at the LG 27GP950-B, as it has all of your gaming needs covered.

With its 4K 160Hz capability and HDMI 2.1 ports for consoles, next-gen games will be displayed in stunning clarity on this display!

It’s also got plenty left over so that you can play multi platform titles without any problems whatsoever – just check out those features now before they’re gone forever!.

The LG 27GP950-B is capable of competent HDR performance, but it does not meet VESA’s middle standard.

It has brighter highlights and more visible improvements in the details compared to its predecessor; however, both are limited by dimmed blacks that make for an average picture overall.
